About

Prestatyn Online was set up in September 2009 with the aim of offering low cost advertising for small businesses in the Prestatyn area of North Wales. Banner adverts with a link are posted on the site for a small fee. In addition Prestatyn Online offers single web page advertising for those businesses and services, which currently do not have a web presence. Typical businesses include bed and breakfast, energy assessors, holistic therapists, window cleaners, hypnotists, taxis, web designers, entertainers, carpet cleaners etc. Business cards can also be placed on the site. Prestatyn Online also uses the social networking sites to enhance it’s visibility and and alert the local Prestatyn community to it’s existence and hence enhance the visibility for all it’s advertisers.

Prestatyn is located on the North East Wales coast approximately 20 miles from Chester and has a population of around 18,000. Prestatyn’s town centre lies between the hillside and the excellent sandy beaches backed by sand dunes.

With many shops, businesses and restaurants Prestatyn has something for everyone. In recent months the Prestatyn Scala cinema has reopened following a number of years of redevelopment. Being on the main London to Holyhead line, Prestatyn has it’s own railway station which over the years has been the first glimpse of Prestatyn which holiday makers would see on their way to local caravan sites and the Pontin’s Holiday resort. Sports facilites are good with the local leisure centre attached to Prestatyn High School and the Nova Centre by the beach catering for most fitness activities. New business investment is also being encouraged to locate in Prestatyn as is shown by the proposed TESCO development.

Prestatyn is also the starting point or finishing point for walking the famous Offa’s Dyke walk and there are many other local walks in the area. The nearby villages of Gwaenysgor and and the consvervation village of Llanasa offer walks and pubs with good food and real ale. A spectacualar view of the entire coast from Prestatyn to Anglesey is available from the hillside near Gwaenysgor.
